Review of the Iliad by Homer
Homer wrote the Iliad pdf free during the Trojan War. He was an author, bard, and poet. Homer is the mythical writer of the Iliad and the Odyssey, two beautiful poems that are central works of ancient Greek literature. The Iliad is set in the middle of the Trojan War, a 10-year siege of the city of Troy by a combination of Greek empires.
Like other classic epic poems, The Iliad puts its title clearly from the beginning. Indeed, the poem places its focus on its original words: menin, or “rage.” Specifically, the Iliad concerns himself with Achilles’ fury — how it begins, how it hurts the Achaean army, and how it is ultimately directed at the Trojans. Although the Trojan War as a whole in the workplace, this major conflict ultimately gives the text background and not a specific issue.
By the time Achilles and Agamemnon had been fighting, the Trojan War had been around for almost a decade. Achilles’ absence from the battle, on the other hand, only took days of days, and the epics quickly ended after his return. The poem does not describe the origin or end of the war that fueled Achilles’ wrath. Instead, it focuses on the origin and end of this anger, thus reducing the size of the poem from the great conflict between the warring peoples to the smaller between the warring peoples.
According to me when Homer’s ILIAD began, the Trojans and Achaia were already at war. Throughout the poem, profits go from one side to the other as gods and goddesses interrupt, men and/or gods call temporal truces and mortal jockey. An important issue going on in the poem involves a clash between Agamemnon, the brother of Achaia’s king Menaelaos, and the great Achilles. Agamemnon steals the woman who had been given Achilles as a prize for the war he won, but Achilles loves the woman and wants her back. You can download the pdf book free from below
